Hello everyone. I am Yoko Maeda, and as of March, I have taken over the practice as the new director of Kenko Zoshin Clinic.
Today, I would like to talk about a new treatment that I have been passionate about and preparing for many years. We are currently getting ready to officially launch “Peptide Therapy” here at our clinic. (We will announce the specific types of peptides and their pricing on this blog as soon as they are finalized!)
Over the years, I have visited clinics and attended medical conferences in the United States, deeply studying how excellent peptide therapy is and how it is a highly safe treatment with very few side effects.
In Western countries, peptide therapy is already a very mainstream treatment option. However, unfortunately, it is still barely known in Japan. I believe there are two main reasons for this:
-
High hurdles for importation: Even with excellent preparations, it has been extremely difficult to secure a route to import them into Japan.
-
The language barrier: There are hardly any medical societies in Japan that specialize in teaching peptide therapy, meaning that acquiring the latest knowledge requires studying entirely in English.
To be completely honest, I am not fluent in English. However, driven entirely by the thought of “wanting to deliver this wonderful treatment to the people of Japan,” I desperately continued my studies by making full use of Google Translate to read medical textbooks and attending American seminars.
My biggest struggle was finding a partner who could deliver reliable preparations to Japan. I emailed and called more than 10 compounding pharmacies and manufacturers in the U.S., only to be rejected day after day.
However, a few years ago, by following up on connections I made at an American medical conference, I was finally able to establish an import route to Japan. I still clearly remember the joy I felt at that moment.
For the next few years, I provided peptide therapy at BIANCA Clinic in Ginza, where I witnessed astonishing changes.
“Symptoms that hadn’t improved despite trying various treatments and clinics got better in just one month after starting peptides.”
I received this kind of feedback not just from one or two people, but from countless patients. As a doctor, I myself was frequently amazed, thinking, “Can it really be this effective?”
There are many different types of peptide therapies, each with a different purpose and indication depending on “where in the cell it turns on the switch.” It can address a wide range of concerns, such as building muscle, improving cognitive function, boosting mitochondrial function, achieving anti-aging effects, improving low moods, and activating the immune system.
I believe the true power of this treatment lies in bringing new light to symptoms that patients had given up on due to the limited results of conventional therapies.
The possibilities of peptide therapy are endless. Moving forward, I plan to introduce specific types of peptides and how each one works in the body through a series of posts on this blog.
For those who want to regain a healthy and youthful daily life, please look forward to our future updates.
